How we celebrated a birthday with a candy buffet!
My baby boy turned 3 over the weekend. I seriously cannot believe he is 3! Just yesterday he was so tiny in my arms. Now, he’s constantly reminding me that he’s a “big boy”. To celebrate his birthday, we threw him a Superman party over the weekend.
Yes, the boy is obsessed with Superman and all other superheroes you can think of. He has been asking for a Superman party since his brother’s birthday in September. Who was I to say no?
DIY Superman Candy Buffet & Treat Bags
To throw him an exciting birthday party, I turned to Oriental Trading. I wanted to do something different with this party – have a Candy Buffet! Oriental Trading had just what I needed to make this happen.
We were provided the samples from Oriental Trading for our honest review. No other compensation was received, and all opinions and ideas are our own!
Superman Candy Buffet with Oriental Trading
Oriental Trading has a big selection of red and blue candies that were perfect for our buffet table. I chose to have the red gum balls, red and blue chocolate candies, and blue candy sticks for our candy buffet. I also used the candy containers from Oriental Trading to hold everything. It worked perfectly!
I like how the red and blue candies looked swirled together in the cylinder container. Definitely reminded me of Superman.
Everything came packaged neatly to prevent the candy or gumballs from getting broken during shipping. The containers were carefully packaged as well.
Oriental Trading Party Favors
Oriental Trading sent their small blue treat boxes to hold our party favors. The boxes were smaller than I realized, but they still worked. We added a small superhero duck and flying superhero toy to each box. That and the candy would be more than enough for the kiddos to take home with them!
I added a few extra Superman party decor pieces to really make the candy buffet festive. It was definitely a hit with my 3-year-old and everyone that came to the celebration.
