We enjoy trying out new educational toys and games with Sawyer. As a former Early Childhood Education major in college, I know that for most children, you need to make learning enjoyable. Teach My seems to understand this too, and they have several products that can make education more fun for your little ones.
When I received the Teach My Toddler All in One Kit for review, I knew it would be a great educational kit to use with our kiddo. It has a variety of learning materials that capture his interest.
The kit contains over 60 items, featuring:
- 4 Board Books
- 5 Foam Puzzles
- 4 Full-Size Posters
- 50+ Flashcards
- Teaching Guide
- Learning Case
The board books that are included are very sturdy, even in my 19 month old’s hands. We have read to Sawyer since he was about 4 months old, and he loves being able to “read” a book by himself. For him, this cannot be done with books containing regular pages, so it’s nice to have books that he can look at and hold in his hands.
The Teach My Toddler kit also comes with five foam puzzles that are new to the kiddo. He is used to playing with wooden puzzles, which are a little easier to put together than foam. However, these help to promote his fine motor skills while also being educational so I like them.
We have used the flash cards quite a bit as well. Sawyer enjoys working with flash cards, as he already has two sets. The ones he currently has are a bit over his head though, so I like using the ones from the Teach My Toddler All in One Kit. Plus, since they coordinate with the other learning tools, they are great for teaching him right now. Each set also comes with a rubber band featuring the “Teach My” logo, which is helpful in keeping them all together.
Colorful posters are also included, but they aren’t something we use that much yet. I plan to use them for reinforcement once Sawyer starts to learn the concepts from the other items in the kit. They are made of a strong paper/cardstock like material and feel like they would be difficult to tear.
Teach My Toddler also comes with a guide that will help parents use it with their children effectively. It provides you with tips for having success with the kit as well as suggestions for educating your child on each subject area.
All in all, I am very pleased with being able to review this kit. It’s something that I would honestly spend my money on. I am already fairly confident I will be getting him the Preschool kit when he is old enough. All of the items feature bright colors and eye-catching pictures that my son can relate to. For example, he loves the red apple and green broccoli in the colors book!
The Teach My Toddler kit is ideal for ages 18-36 months, which is great for us right now. I like that it can be used for so long – and was constructed from durable materials so that it will last that long. Teach My offers kits in other age levels as well, such as baby and preschool.
