When I was asked to review the PLAYMOBIL City Life Children’s Hospital playset, I could not say no. My 6 year old is always telling us he wants to be a nurse or doctor when he grows up. He alternates between the two, but I love that he wants to help others.
With this toy, he is able to pretend that he’s already grown up and working in a hospital to care for babies and kids. This hospital playset comes with everything you need to really imagine being a doctor. 291 pieces in all!
Assembly is required by an adult before the kids can play. It took me just under 2 hours to put it together, but I did have my son “helping” here and there. There are lots of stickers to add further details and realness to the toy.
Once the PLAYMOBIL Children’s Hospital was ready to go, Sawyer jumped right in. He first carried for the little girl with a broken arm. He moved her from her room down to the bottom floor via the elevator. She had to go get surgery!
He also cared for the baby that was just born in the hospital. He fed her and gave her the cute little teddy bear.
The City Line toy line from PLAYMOBIL features so many life-like accessories and details. Sawyer is already asking for other parts of the line so can have the whole town!
The Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital at Hackensack University Medical Center, a member of Hackensack Meridian Health, together with PLAYMOBIL, a leading toy manufacturer since 1974, held a special ribbon-cutting ceremony today to dedicate the new PLAYMOBIL Playroom.
The playroom, dedicated to pediatric patients, is fully equipped with playsets, a life-sized PLAYMOBIL character and themed backdrops from PLAYMOBIL.
“The PLAYMOBIL Playroom will truly be a special place where our pediatric patients can play in a nice bright, vibrant atmosphere and not dwell on their medical procedures,” said Stephen Percy, M.D., acting chairman, Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital at HackensackUMC.
