Being a work at home mom comes with some struggles. It can be difficult to separate work and family. Balancing the two can really be a challenge. But perhaps my biggest problem with working from home…healthy snack ideas.
With the kitchen so close to my desk, it’s easy to run and grab some chips and a candy bar between blog posts or email replies. If I’m in the groove, I don’t want to stop what I’m doing to actually prepare something healthy.
The result? Lots of junk food eaten every single day.
To battle this, I recently stopped by Publix for some healthier snack options. Weight Watchers makes some great snack foods that I can substitute for the not-so-healthy snacks in my pantry. These come individually wrapped, so I can keep them right at my desk!
The Weight Watchers Pecan Crowns are perfect for when I need a little sweet treat. They replace the candies and candy bars I used to indulge in during the day. They are small so I’m not ruining my lunch or dinner, yet enough to satisfy the sweet tooth.
Weight Watchers also makes these little handheld Carrot Creme Cakes. They are a great alternative to cupcakes and other cake snacks. With only 90 calories and 3 grams of fiber, I don’t feel bad having a little snack every now and then!
Additional Healthy Snacking Tips for Work at Home Moms
- Allow yourself 1-2 snacks a day. Spread them out so you aren’t munching all day.
- Keep a bottle of water at your desk to curb your desire to eat.
- Chew gum rather than grabbing too many snacks.
- Incorporate fresh fruits and vegetables into your snack time, along with your Weight Watchers treats.
With Weight Watchers snacks from Publix, I have been able to upgrade my snacking options without sacrificing taste. These products are just as good as what I would have eaten, and they are healthier.
Plus, they are super convenient. I just grab one, unwrap it, and eat! No extra time needed for prep so I’m not wasting time that I should be working.
Now, my only problem is with my husband trying to steal my yummy snacks off my desk!
