Some people may find it difficult to get a bank account, or they want a more private way to store money. For these people, there are pre-paid debit cards. For me, I personally like the idea because 98% of my income is made online – if someone doesn’t want to pay me via PayPal, I can offer them the option of sending money securely to this type of card.
I recently received a pre-paid Visa to review from Card.com. Before this, I hadn’t thought of the need for a pre-paid card, but now I am glad I have one!
A perk of using Card.com is that you can choose a debit card that fits your personality. Check out a small amount of the card designs offered below!
Because we are big fans of monkeys in this house, it was only normal that I choose that design for my debit card from Card.com. The card came with easy to follow instructions for activation as well as adding money. Within 3 minutes, my card was ready to take to the store to use!
Awesome Features of a Pre-Paid Card from Card.com

Free direct deposit
Free card-to-card transfers, any time, anywhere, in seconds
No overdraft fees — never goes negative!
Safer than cash – 24/7 support, Visa fraud protection and 100% FDIC insurance on funds
No debt, financially responsible, no interest/credit/APRs
No credit check and approval in seconds
22,000 in-network ATMs
I want to note, there is a $5.95 maintenance fee to keep the debit card active. This fee will be waived in you deposited $800 or more into your account in the previous month. This cost is similar or maybe even less than other pre-paid debit cards on the market. Most people would be able to wave this if they are using their card as a form of direct deposit with their employer.
Have you ever used a pre-paid debit card? What design would you like to have on your card?
I received compensation for this post. Regardless, all opinions are mine!
