If you are near Atlanta next weekend, March 25-26, I highly recommend you check out the Third Annual Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival at Blackburn Park. The two-day event is free to the public, so it’s a great way to spend a weekend with the family.
Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival Run/Walk
The festival kicks off with a 5K Run / 1K Walk on March 25th benefiting the Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival 501(c)(3) non-profit cultural organization. Bring the kids and the pets! Everyone is welcome to participate. Visit the 5K registration website to register!
After the race, you can enjoy the many attractions and showcases that have come together to make this festival a must-see during the last weekend of March. Over 15,000 attendees are usually present for the festival, which offers fun activities for the whole family.
Kids can have fun in the Children’s Village, where there will be face painting, balloon twisting, rock wall climbing, and more. There will also be a Classic Car Show, Musical Performances, and lots of things for pets too!
This will be our first year attending the Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival. My boys are super excited to go! James really wants to check out the classic cars, but I’ll be there for the music and arts & crafts.
#CherryFest17 Twitter Party
To get everyone excited for the Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival, there will be a Twitter party on March 22, 2017 from 9-10PM EST. Be sure to log in and follow the hashtag (#CherryFest17) to join in on the conversation.
